The
Villa is part of a Farm set at 315 m above sea level, covering an
area of about 7.5 hectares. The farm’s main production comes
from the 650 olive trees (they produce an outstanding extra virgin
oil) and 2000 sq m of vineyard (which produces a fresh-tasting table
wine). During the various production periods, the guests are welcomed
to partecipate at the olive or grapes harvest. The farm is an ideal place for nature lovers. Walking among the 5 hectares of fenced-in land, which alternates between woodlands and open areas, you’ll find typical plants of the Apennine maquis vegetation: strawberry trees, service trees, chestnuts, oaks and medicinal herbs such as calamint, thyme, oregano, fennel, and others. You’ll also discover increasingly rare wildlife: fireflies on early summer evenings, nightingales, owls, pheasants. It is also possible to come across porcupines, badgers, squirrels, dormice, and buzzards over head. The ideally situation of the Villa , just 6km from the A11 motorway , gives the right occasion for visiting the art’s cities as Florence Lucca, Pisa ,, Siena, San Gimignano, Arezzo, just to remind the most important and well known of them. In addition, the small fascinating medieval towns in the Valdinievole hills with their lovely Romanesque churches , and, for children , the Village Collodi with its famous Pinocchio park |
