A visit to the10th Century
San Miniato Church that dominates the city of Florence is
a must if you are visiting Florence, not least for the fabulous
views of the city.
And if art is not your cup of tea then Florence is fantastic for shopping where you can visit the flagship stores of major Italian labels such as Prada-Gucci. |

| Nearby Florence, Siena and the Chianti area are all nearby and in additional there are many other Renaissance and Medieval towns to visit. We suggest the beautiful Abbey of Sant’Antimo, 10 km from Montalcino. In this Abbey, built by Carlo Magno c. 780 you can listen to Mass and Gregorian singers. If you come in autumn you can taste white truffles at San Giovanni D’Asso in Crete Senesi, and in San Miniato where there is a maket and truffle tasting on the first three Sundays of November. |
